At the end of 2017, I was halfway through a masters degree in psychotherapy when I heard a voice "in my head" tell me to stop my studies and 'deepen my walk with God'.
I spent the summer in torment. Knowing the truth but not wanting to admit it. Not having faith to follow through on it. I went back to university and it was clear in so many signs and interactions that the fire had gone out of that path for me. So I made the hard choice and left.
Within 6 months my life had fallen apart. My girlfriend and I broke up. I had no clue how to move forward in my new career. I was soon to be homeless. My back was in terrible pain. I was lost. And then I prayed.
I prayed, to God, because I could not do anything for myself. I needed help. I needed Him. And so began the step-by-step Regenesis of my life, my relationships, my health and my work.
The winds of change and pangs of pain move through all of our lives. The revitalising spirit of God sends them to us as a gift of Regenesis. To accept this gift we need faith. Faith in God, of course. Faith in the unknown. Faith in ourselves to make it through. Faith in the true path of our calling that we must follow. Faith in others who are divinely appointed to help and guide us.
When I look back at my journey to Here, I write a story written in the language of Faith. I see that the call to faith is woven into everything. I write this story because I see that nothing comes without it and everything is possible through it...
